Perks of balancing out Vata Dosha Subscribe
The human body is miraculous. It functions better than a machine but also needs maintenance, which we need to pay more attention to. The human body comprises doshas - Vata, Pitta and Kapha. And if there is an imbalance in any of the doshas or if these doshas combine, your body becomes exposed to diseases.
Vata dosha is the predominant dosha amongst other doshas as it controls the movements and body activities of the nervous system. People with Vata dosha are full of creativity and always on the go, but they also tend to need help with colds and some food items. People with Vata dosha tend to have cold hands and feet.
You may not realize a Vata imbalance in your balance, and you might be considering the symptoms casually. Vata dosha implies the space and air elements in your body. Feeling anxious, restlessness, insomnia, dehydration, general body ache, bloating and many more, are some common symptoms of Vata Imbalance.
The human body works in harmony and if any dosha increases or decreases, especially Vata Dosha, the other two doshas, i.e., Kapha and Pitta, also get imbalanced.
What aggravates Vata?
1) Cold environment - Cold is the biggest enemy of Vata Dosha. So, if you are a Vata Prakriti person, avoid eating or staying in cold temperatures.
2) Stress - Stress is the primary cause of many diseases and so is Vata Imbalance. Try to stay relaxed at all times.
3) Cold foods - Avoid fruits and vegetables that have cold elements. Avoid eating canned or fermented food items. Those who have increased Vata dosha must eat home-cooked, fresh and hot meals.
How to pacify Vata Dosha?
1) Eat hot, fresh and quality food.
2) Do yoga and other physical exercises. (You can practice Savasana, Pawanmuktasana, Meditation, Ujjayi breathing, Vrikasana, Stretching and much more)
3) Products like ghee and sesame oil can help keep your body lubricated and warm, hence, balancing out the Vata in your body.
4) Avoid fasting and staying empty stomach.
